CHS 495 - Advanced Topics in Chinese Studies

Gives students the opportunity to integrate the diverse dimensions of Chinese studies from an interdisciplinary perspective. Through active reading, discussion, and production of a thesis, students will review Chinese literature and culture, historical and political trajectories, philosophical thoughts, the challenges of development and modernity, and major contemporary issues. Offered winter semester. Prerequisites: Senior standing with a major in Chinese studies.
