HNR 274 - Africa Seen Through African Eyes 3 This course surveys the history of Africa from the late nineteenth century to the present. It will concentrate on African societies before European conquest; transformation of African societies under colonial rule; the rise of African Nationalism and the decolonization process; and the post independence political and economic developments. Fulfills Foundations - Arts. Offered winter semester. Prerequisites: Enrollment in the Meijer Honors College, HNR 254 and HNR 255. Corequisite: HNR 275.
